Terms
These terms set out how we work together on a project, so expectations are clear from the start. Specific projects may have their own written quote or agreement that takes precedence.
Quotes and validity
Quotes are based on the scope discussed and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Work that falls outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.
Deposits and payment
A deposit is usually required before work begins, with the balance due on completion or as set out in your quote. Larger projects may be split into milestones.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the website will only be published, transferred, or made fully live once the required payment has been settled.
Client responsibilities
To keep your project on track, we'll need timely feedback and the content and access we ask for. Delays in providing these can move your timeline.
Content and materials
You’re responsible for supplying text, images, logos, brand assets, and any other materials needed for the project, and for confirming that you have the right to use them.
You remain the owner of the content and brand materials you provide. WS Studio may reuse general methods, layouts, components, code patterns, and development processes created or refined during the project, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Revisions
Each project includes a set number of revision rounds, which we'll confirm in your quote. Additional rounds or changes beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately.
Timelines
We'll agree a realistic timeline at the start. Timelines depend on both sides keeping to their part, especially the supply of content and feedback.
Hosting, domains and website files
Unless agreed otherwise, the client owns their domain, content, brand assets, and business information.
WS Studio retains ownership of the website codebase, internal build files, templates, and reusable components. The client receives the live website and agreed website service, not automatic ownership of the source code.

WS Studio retains ownership of the website codebase, internal project files, reusable components, templates, and development processes unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. The client is granted the use of the completed website as agreed in the project quote.
Any request for source code transfer, migration to another provider, or full file handover must be agreed separately in writing and may be quoted separately.
Third-party services
Some projects rely on third-party services (for example payment providers, hosting, or Google services). Those services have their own terms and fees, which are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise.
Maintenance and support
Ongoing maintenance, updates, fixes, and support are provided through a separate support plan or hourly arrangement. Work after launch that is not included in the project quote will be quoted or charged separately before it is carried out.
Cancellation
If a project is cancelled, completed work and any non-refundable deposit remain payable. We'll always be fair about work in progress.
Termination, transfer and source code
If either party decides to stop working together, WS Studio will make reasonable efforts to assist with the transition of the website to another provider, subject to all outstanding invoices being settled.
This transition support may include providing access to the client’s domain, hosting account, business accounts, supplied content, brand assets, images, copy, and other client-owned materials, where applicable.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the website source code, internal project files, build setup, templates, reusable components, and development processes remain the property of WS Studio and are not automatically included in any transfer.
If the client wants the source code or full project files to be transferred to them or to another provider, this must be agreed separately in writing and may be quoted as a separate buyout or handover fee.
WS Studio is not responsible for the quality, security, performance, or future maintenance of the website once another provider takes over the project.
Limitation of liability
We take care to deliver reliable websites, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service from third parties or specific business results. Our liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for that project.
